SAP FI-CO Consultant / Design Authority - Berkshire

FTSE100 Telco, at the forefront of their industry for the last 20 years, currently has an urgent need for a SAP Lead to take on the role as the strategic design authority for the SAP Financial systems.
Responsible to the CFO & IT Director and responsible for managing the key 3rd party supplier relationship, this is great role for a SAP FICO Technical design Authority looking to take their career to new levels. A varied role, the successful candidate will be responsible for designing and supporting application functionality for ongoing business initiatives built by offshore partners and 3rd party vendors and for the successful role out and hand-over to the SAP support team.
This is a new role in a new operating model; therefore the successful candidate will have a great opportunity to shape the role and will be expected to guide the business and suppliers in other areas of SAP than FICO as a secondary responsibility.
To be considered, we seek a SAP FI-CO expert with experience of at least 2 large scale SAP Finance implementations. It is imperative that you possess excellent communication skills (to define business requirements and translate these into functional specs and blueprints) coupled with solid technical ability. Your experience will need to include:
Technical and business process knowledge of SAP FI-CO(AP, AR, Assets, GL, PS, PA, CCA, Cash and Bank, Accruals Engine), RMCA(FCC) and EC-CS, EC-PCA experience.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills with a willingness to challenge the staus quo.
- Ability to explain complex issues in simple, customer-centric language.
- Ability to discern key issues and develop insights from a wide range of data and inputs.
- Ability to prepare/review functional specifications, test and knowledge transfer.
- The ability to effectively manage a 3rd party partner day-to-day including knowing when to be
- demanding and combative and when to be collaborative
